I celebrated Yule with my group, the Pandoran Society. We invited Ganesha, with whom one of our members works, in His form as Pancha Ganapati, and in our own way honored Him in ritual. While none of us are Hindu priests, we practiced a very common way we found of honoring Him during the five days of Pancha Ganapti (December 21-25) for our day of Yule, inviting His blessings into our lives after offering to Him, feeding Him, and offering gifts to one another, forgiveness to each other, clearing up of relationships, and bringing peace into our Society. It was a great time of healing and love in our group.

set up altar, put on the 4 Seasons and opened the way. recited Holy Mother prayer, sat in contemplation. had visions of the baby God in the Old Gods arms. holly and ivy. thought about stuff. made some plans and decisions. tuened off all lights and sat in dark for a while. lit my latra again. then closed it down, and w=got something to eat.

at about 11:30 i began to watch the eclipse. it was too cold to be outisde much, but the moon was right overhead and i couldn't see it unless i was outisde. watched it til totality and beyond. it glowed like an ember. so beautiful. took one last look at it before heading to bed at 2ish.
